The Town Planner is responsible for approving all permits, plats, and zoning requests. The best way to contact the Town’s Planner is by using the contact information listed above.
The Planning Commission also holds workshops, which are a great way to connect with the Planner, voice concerns, and ask questions. These workshops are working sessions focused on reviewing proposed amendments to current ordinances and discussing planning-related matters.

Permit Steps and Information: Go to the Applications and Forms tab. Click Permits. Select the appropriate zoning category and submit your application.

A zoning permit and current business license is required for all job projects within the Town of Hollywood.

Required Documents for New Construction: Site / Sketch Plan must include measurements and required setbacks according to your zoning district, sewer letter, and CPW letter.

Tree Removal Permits: If any trees will be removed, contact stopalb [at] clemson.edu or call 843-973-8329. A tree survey will be required and must include tree size and tree type.

Plats: All plats for review and approval must be submitted through the zoning permit portal.

Town Moratorium Extension is effective until August 31, 2026. The extension was signed and approved in February 2026. The unsigned copy is available below in the documents section. To view the signed copy, please contact clerk [at] townofhollywood.org.
