We are excited to announce that the Town of Hollywood has streamlined its permitting process. For a smoother and faster experience, residents and contractors can now submit the following permits electronically through the Town of Hollywood Permits Portal:
- Building Permits
- Zoning Permits
- Tree Cutting Permits
- Electrical Permits
Building Permits
Homeowners and contractors must use the Building Permit application for all new construction, repairs, renovations, and additions to structures. Subcontractors and specialty contractors must also utilize the same permit application process.
Business license and zoning permit fees must be paid prior to planning review. Applicants are required to submit:
- Two (2) sets of construction plans
- An applicable site plan
- A tree survey, if required
All inspections are conducted by CC&I Services.
Inspections
Inspections are performed Monday through Friday and must be requested at least one business day in advance. Inspection requests are only valid when made directly with a staff member.

Business Licenses
Business License Renewals for Fiscal Year 2026–2027 were due by April 30, 2026. Penalties may apply to late renewals. Businesses renewing their license should use the SC Business License Renewal Portal link below.
First-Time Applicants: Please contact licenses [at] townofhollywood.org (licenses[at]townofhollywood[dot]org) before applying.
First-time applicants must submit: A valid photo ID, Proof of state licensure (if applicable), An invoice or contract for the project/job
The renewal portal is for existing business license holders only. If you have questions regarding business licenses, please contact Town Hall at 843-889-3222.
Payments may be made online through Stripe, and business licenses can be issued electronically via email.
