Regular Meetings
This type of meeting is for the purpose of conducting and discussing the general and routine business of the municipality and to enact the necessary ordinances and resolutions of the Town of Hollywood.
Special Meetings
This type of meeting may be held at the call of the Mayor or a majority of the Council members. These meetings may be called when circumstances warrant them and when business arises which cannot be postponed until the regular meeting.
In the even of an emergency, the Mayor or the majority of Council members may call an emergency special meeting, when confronted with a crisis situation.
Executive Sessions
The Town Council may hold and Executive Session and discuss certain matters in meetings closed to the general public.
Any formal action taken in an Executive Session must be thereafter ratified.
Public Hearings
A citizen wishing to be heard from should register with the Town Clerk before appearing at a meeting. This way a decision can be made as to which way to handle the hearing.
